Around Christmas time Justin and Camille received an unexpected early gift when mutual friends set them up on the blind date. “We had a great time and hit it off instantly!” said Camille a native of Oregon and lover of Willamette Valley’s Pinot Noir Wine.
It was a bottle of that very wine that the couple first shared together. “He had gone on a trip to Portland the year before, toured Willamette Valley’s Vineyard and brought home a case of their Pinot Noir,” said Camille, “So when I came to his house for dinner and he opened that bottle I knew he was a good catch and that we would get along quite well together.“
Transforming this wine into the ultimate symbol of their love, the couple chose the Willamette Valley Winery near Turner, Oregon as their wedding venue. Although Oregon is known for its incessant rain, the couple married in August when the entire state is kissed with sun and clear skies.
One of the couple’s favorite moments was the ceremony. “We decided last minute to have the guests standing on the lawn overlooking the setting sun and all the rolling hills and vineyards,” said Camille, “I walked out of the building to the side of the main venue and the scenery was stunning! My guests were standing there, holding their glasses of wine, and the I felt like we had chosen one of the most beautiful places to have the ceremony, and one of the best times of the season. It was amazing.”
This intimate event was decorated with deep red roses and lush wine colored tablecloths. Guest were able to take home little tea tins that graced the table labeled “Justin and Camille.” The couple had their first dance as the sun was setting over the lush Willamette Valley.
“[Everyone] just RAVED about how great the food and wine were,” said Camille, “It was wonderful to hear the guests be so impressed and pleased with the food and wine.”
After their wedding the couple has decided to travel around the world for a year-long adventure. We hope they are having a glass of wine grace their table every step of the way.
